I was really happy to get to read about how Roan & Abigail got together in this book after the brief glimpse of their story in Once Upon a Cat about Thea & Nathaniel (Roan's brother). While each story is great as a standalone they are even better when you have read both. Roan's dog beastie was also a really cute side character. The epilogue was a lot of fun and I am looking forward to reading about how Conrad and Linnea get together in A Taste of Tea and Tenderness: A Cozy Fantasy Thumbelina Retelling. š¹ I received a free advanced reader copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review. š¤
