This was a cute book and fun read! Didn't realize it contained LGBTQ characters when I first bought it. I loved learning about the enchanted inn and Calisa learning its secrets. The author did a great job of coming up with unique creatures and how the magic works. We love a good magic system in a book that makes logistical sense! The book just seemed sort of slow and the aunt being so abhorrent to any help when she was constantly offered it and knew she needed it aggravated me. An enjoyable read, all in all.
