I loved this book when I was in elementary school - one of my first dives into realistic science fiction! Jonah and Chip are just two normal 13-year-old kids when they receive strange letters in the mail that they are in danger. After meetings with the FBI, a strange woman that says she saw what happened 13 years ago, and quick words exchanged in a rush, the boys and Jonah sister realize that it might not just be the government they should be concerned with, but something… unbelievable? Futuristic? Fantastic story-telling! The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is the last scene in the cave seemed too rushed and not believable. I feel like the adults could have been written to act more… adultish? Regardless, I read this book in 2 days! It was captivating and every chapter added more to the plot. So good!
